Don't Worry About That Coyote, Chicago, He's Just Catching Rodents

He's not a threat...He's not going to pick up your children...His job is to deal with all of the nuisance problems, like mice, rats and rabbits.

Or maybe not. Has Janet Napolitano told this coyote what its job is?

Well, I haven't seen one around here lately up in the near suburbs--but we did have a cougar a while back. Then their advice was to try to make yourself taller--put your dog or kid on your head to scare it away.

No word on whether this works with coyotes.

But some addled folks may try to pat the beast. You know the type.

...I'm sure a discreet pat will be fine.
