Where is the decency in that?

“So as the usual talking heads begin their ‘have you no decency?’ routine aimed at talk radio and Republican politicians, perhaps we should turn the question around. Where is the decency in blood libel?…

“To be clear, if you’re using this event to criticize the ‘rhetoric’ of Mrs. Palin or others with whom you disagree, then you’re either: (a) asserting a connection between the ‘rhetoric’ and the shooting, which based on evidence to date would be what we call a vicious lie; or (b) you’re not, in which case you’re just seizing on a tragedy to try to score unrelated political points, which is contemptible. Which is it?

“I understand the desperation that Democrats must feel after taking a historic beating in the midterm elections and seeing the popularity of ObamaCare plummet while voters flee the party in droves. But those who purport to care about the health of our political community demonstrate precious little actual concern for America’s political well-being when they seize on any pretext, however flimsy, to call their political opponents accomplices to murder.

Where is the decency in that?

Via HotAir.

Update. I repeat. A sanctimonious Sen. Dick Durbin. A sanctimonious Chicago Tribune.
U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., was right Sunday in saying on CNN that, during the fall campaigns, a much-circulated conservative appeal, with cross hairs on congressional districts, crossed a line.
Oh really.

A monstrous lie. And now we see this guy had been planning this since 2007. And this: Have you no shame.

Shame? That's one of the more than 100-year-old words for which there is no definition in a relativistic world-view. In the progressive rush to destroy any societal consensus of right and wrong, it is no wonder that these people have no idea what the Founders were talking about or what they achieved. We may as well expect these dishonest power brokers and their followers to understand the meaning of honor, loyalty, respect, or truth.

You are absolutely right.

And they should be shunned as well.

But we know that's an archaic word too.

That said.

Those of us who revere the Founders will keep pushing to re-instill respect for enduring moral virtues.

Just a conservative girl said...

no, they have no shame. If that wasn't clear on Friday, it certainly is now.

What I do think that is positive is that is was on full display for all to see. It is impossible to deny at this point.

Yes, I think you're right.

Even The View backed off--Behar didn't show her face or shoot her mouth off, to coin a phrase.

I understand even Bob Beckel was defending Sarah Palin last night, a clear sign Dems know they manipulated this to a massive backlash--a Wellstone funeral magnified.

What ghouls they are.
