Pawlenty Finds His Voice. The Right Tone

His new ad
Pitch perfect.

No Romney.

...it reminds me of the tone of this ad, of a new TEA party Rep:) ...giving us assurance.

In 2008 the Cato Institute researched Pawlenty when John McCain was said to be considering him for a running mate.

Tim Pawlenty?

I find him to be very much The Other Romney, quite frankly.

Well, yeah but they graded him an A as governor in 2010.

And are hosting him this week

I'm not saying he's my first choice, given his earlier positions, but I think we need to give credit where credit is due.

OK, Pawlenty wants to run. And he demonstrates that he knows what he has to say to get to the nomination. Hopefully, the Cato event will give us more information because he lost me, and a lot of folks around the web, at the word "change."

Conservatives and libertarians will continue to be served up dog food so long they continue to tell the Republican Party, "yeah, at least he's not (Romney, Gingrich, RINO/Statist of the week...)."

I appreciate your point of view, Anne. I can hold my nose and vote for anyone who's not Obama--again--but it doesn't do our country any good to embrace these flip-floppers and mediocrities IMHO.

Well, I want the primaries to rip.

I always vote for my first choice not who I think is electable and I think a lot of us feel that way.

And I would hope more people would get in:)
