As a bumper sticker so aptly phrases it: "I love my country...it's my government I fear" We do live in the most blessed country on earth, but it is going to take a lot of effort and real change (not just phony "hope and change") in how government works (or doesn't work, as the case may be) and in what we expect government to pay for in order to keep it that way. I hope & pray that will happen. America is,indeed, exceptional. We are that "shining city on a hill", as RR put it, and we must continue to be.
The middle of America. As for me, moderate in everything but politics. As Tom Roeser said, she went to Harvard and turned right. I come from The Chicago School, not the Chicago Way. Tweet street @backyardconserv

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too, from California. Keep up the good work, it matters.
