Stories From Iran

Two stories have just come out of Iran. Newspapers are putting them on the same page. One is that Iran has just test-fired a missile that evades radar. Washington Post here. Also Chicago Tribune:
Gen. Hossein Salami, the air force chief of Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards, did not specify the missile's range, saying how far it can travel depends on the weight of its warheads.

But state-run television described the weapon as "ballistic"--suggesting it is of comparable range to Iran's existing ballistic rocket, which can travel about 1,200 miles and reach Israel and U.S. bases in Iraq and the Persian Gulf region.
The other is that Iran has just suffered another series of earthquakes. Tribune here.

As Iran continues to defy the world community in developing nuclear capabilities, it is also a worry to note that they are planning nuclear facilities in earthquake zones. Earlier post here. And it underscores the only conclusion that can be drawn, that Iran's intent is not peaceful.
