Seals is a Liberal

Well, Dan Seals is up with TV ads, linked by Capitol Fax, challenging Mark Kirk in the 10th congressional. Seals, who doesn't even live in the district, hailing from liberal Hyde Park on the south side, portrays himself as a moderate and a supporter of Israel. Riiiiight.

Actually, Seals now lives in hard-core liberal Jan Schakowsky's district, who along with unions and other liberal groups, is supporting and fundraising for his campaign, much as her crook of a husband bankrolled her rise. Who will Seals really represent? The 10th district? Or the Chicago and Cook County machine?

And if Seals is such a big supporter of Israel, why didn't he show his solidarity in a substantive way at a critical time, by joining the rally for Israel in Chicago this summer? Kirk and state Senator Schoenberg were there, but not Schakowsky or Seals.

Here's one of Seals' staunch supporters:

Liberal is NOT a dirty word?

And this.

Here's one of Kirk's supporters.

By the way, Seals' claim about favorable polls is bogus. Judge for yourself. Lake County News -Sun: "Two polls show Kirk with double digit leads." Kirk here on WBBM on-air retraction of Seals' claims. Savvy comment here.

Seals is a liberal.
