Earned Contempt

So Charles. Just as you don't want to be characterized as MSM, so you've indiscriminately characterized bloggers as info-pimps (oh, except for your own bloggers). For the record, I have said nothing on that particular Obama story. Also, for the record, the Swift Boat people were John Kerry's fellow veterans, many from his unit. Kerry raised the issue in his campaign by making exaggerated claims about his service involving members of his unit.

I would never make such gross generalizations as you just made. Some of the media is fair. Even the MSM is fair some of the time. But I would say that the decline in standards among leading, mainstream media--network and newspaper--has been going on for some time, including not only how something is reported, but what is not reported. I have been reading 3 or 4 newspapers a day for over 30 years and I think I can speak with some authority.

We have widespread media bias, staged news and fauxtography. And now we have, yes, the MSM, the flagship NY Times deliberately tipping off terrorists and undermining our national security. We have CNN, and now the Washington Post dishonoring and maligning our soldiers. (One of their bloggers, by the way, who they describe as a military analyst but do not disclose that he worked for Greenpeace and other far left organizations.) You have followed the liberal MSM template in your column by refusing to acknowledge any of this.

You and your fellow MSM "journalists" have earned our contempt. And you still think we're too stupid to figure you out, or make our own judgements about the credibility of the news.
