Liberal U of C law school professor Geoffrey Stone is pontificating again on the op-ed pages of the Trib, dramatically claiming don't ask, don't tell is on "the wrong side of history". Well, his history is not apropos and not persuasive.
Sex and combat don't mix. The objective is not social interaction. And from a practical standpoint, privacy is limited in the military. Sexual harassment is a two-way street, and don't ask, don't tell is probably the best policy for everyone. It preserves everyone's privacy in a simply civil way.
