The Schoenberg Schmooze

The Dems next door in the People's Republic of Evanston had a straw poll on the candidate of their choice for president. The hex is out in Illinois. Speaking at the event was our "illustrious" State Senator Jeff Schoenberg, who in theory represents the north shore, but operates out of regressive Evanston. Illinois DemNet:
... the recent action by the Illinois General Assembly to move the Illinois primary up to February 5, 2008, from its traditional March date, guarantees Illinois voters a much greater impact on presidential elections, according to Evanston Democratic committeeman and Illinois State Sen. Jeff Schoenberg (D-Evanston)
(Last seen schmoozing--scroll down-- with our sorry excuse for a governor--no one's proposing him for president--and Heinous Hamos. Photo on the Left).
"The early DPOE presidential endorsement session this past Sunday undoubtedly gives Evanston an active role in defining the state’s political landscape for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination,” Schoenberg said. “Since Illinois is a neighboring state to Iowa, we will also have the chance to add a progressive influence to the nation’s political landscape."

Of the 10 candidate field, only two had sent representatives to speak before the official voting process began, Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky, co-chair of Barack Obama’s campaign spoke on his behalf and Elaine Weisse spoke on behalf of Hillary Clinton.

AWK, if this doesn't confirm Obama's leftist leanings what does---naming Schakowsky the socialist his co-chair and apparently he has no problem with her cheating on taxes (another dubious friend of Barack, among many). Hillary has some baggage of her own. Anything to say Jeff, on behalf of the elderly and women everywhere? And God help us all with Evanston dragging the state even further to the Left. At this rate, no one will be able to make a decent living in this state.

But they don't say who won?
