Eric Cantor, from Richmond Virginia, is the only Jewish Republican in the House of Representatives, currently serving his fourth term. He is also the Chief Deputy Republican Whip, the highest appointed position in the House of Representatives. Additionally, he serves as Finance Chairman for the National Republican Congressional Committee where he leads the fundraising efforts for House Republicans in the 2008 election cycle.
