Clintons in the News

Clintons in the news.

Quashing a pending negative GQ profile of Hillary, threatening Bill won't appear on an upcoming cover.

Threatening legal action against a restaurant over a posed pix with Chelsea when she was First Daughter. (Isn't she eventually going to run for office anyway? Isn't that why they set her up with that cushy hedge fund job?)
He says he was surprised to receive a letter from the Clinton's lawyer demanding he take the picture down. On official William Jefferson Clinton letterhead, was a threat to take further action: "We reserve the right to exercise any and all options available to us if you refuse to comply."

Selimaj says the letter came as quite a shock.

"I was really, really heartbroken because I have four daughters and Chelsea is like my daughter," Selimaj said. "She doesn't want to be there. If that comes from them directly, definitely, I will remove it. If she really insists to remove it."
"Any and all options", hmm? Maybe Bill has forgotten he's not president any more. (Why didn't he just send Hillary over?)

And it seems both Clintons continue to associate with shady characters, lately Hillary, now Bill. One of Bill's aides became buddy-buddy with a young Italian businessman on the make, and Bill and FOB invested through Yucaipa to bilk, uh buy real estate from the Catholic Church. WSJ, page one:
These days, the Clinton camp's relations with Mr. Follieri are in tatters. Yucaipa managing partner Ron Burkle, Mr. Clinton's longtime friend, has sued Mr. Follieri in Delaware state court for allegedly misappropriating at least $1.3 million. The lawsuit claims Mr. Follieri used Yucaipa's investment money to fund a lavish lifestyle that included a Manhattan penthouse, five-star meals and private jets for Mr. Follieri and his girlfriend, actress Anne Hathaway. Mr. Follieri has denied any wrongdoing. Mr. Cooper has demanded his money back.
Oh, and the Clinton aide used to be an intern, along with Monica. He told Ken Starr he took Monica to a dance at the White House. I don't imagine even this snafoo will get him knocked off the payroll.

More unease with the sleaze.

UPDATE: Dan Curry, Reverse Spin on Hillary's swiss cheese "vetting". Small business owners, stung by one of her other dodgy donors, IPA, are suing. The head of IPA is a serial sexual harrasser. (Maybe that's why she has gone easy on him.) And the sexual harassment is apparently endemic there--pending complaints from 114 women employees.

UPDATE: More info courtesy of a commenter at this site:
According to the company's web site, the Follieri Group intended to renovate the sites as low- and middle-income housing, community centers, places of worship, offices and retail spaces. The Follieris also formed a foundation to help surrounding communities and third-world countries.
(As you would imagine, the housing game surfaces again--Dems and their buddies make the money up front in fees and then let them fall apart, and the pols get a cut in campaign contributions--Tony Rezko's modus operandi.) Cool map:
