Some Bipartisanship

Maybe the timing is right for some bipartisanship on foreign policy in the wake of General Petraeus' largely positive testimony to Congress. (We wouldn't want the Democrats to rush lemming-like off the cliff of surrrender at any price would we.) Their leadership is losing the knee-jerk anti-war votes they are putting forth to pacify their radical Left base.

And as the president is being gracious enough to advise their leading candidates, why not an olive branch in Congress?

Politics used to stop at the water's edge. We haven't had much of that since the Scoop Jackson Democrats, Sam Nunn being an exception, but he retired 10 years ago.

Baby steps on the way to the world of grown-ups, Democrats. A few Republican moderates want to hold your hand.
