So Special McCain YouTubes

Florida--Advantage McCain .1 RCP average updated with new poll. RCP describes their charts: Romney closing very strong
UPDATE: According to CNN's political ticker, Bill says John McCain and Hillary are "very close". Liberals are fact-checking McCain: TPM. And Andy McCarthy, NRO questions what McCain could do to reassure conservatives.

UPDATE: Confidence within Romney team about Florida. The Campaign Spot. McCain connection to liberal George $oro$. HotAir. And an amazing Changes video brought to you by Conservative Springfield.(You have to keep watching it.)

UPDATE: Comments from Jim M. on the Malkin post about McCain's ties to Soros:

What a way to launder campaign money!

McCain sets up a “charitable organization” which accepts contributions from all manner of people and organizations. It also warehouses his campaign staff so as to keep the team together between campaigns, so he does not have to pay them out of his campaign coffers.

The organization then pays McCain for speaking and other services (which presumably are OK under McCain Feingold and are not subject to the $2300 personal contribution cap) and probably pays members of his family as well.

In reality, this is no charity - it is a political action committee used to launder money to avoid campaign laws. Pretty incredible when you think about it. And I’d bet that the Reform Institute was inexistence or on the boards when McCain Feingold was passed, i.e., the law worked around this little ruse to make it legal under McCain Feingold.

Straight talk, huh? Man of integrity? I’ve seen some sleazy things in politics, but this tops them all.

UPDATE: McCain lunacy on climate change debunked. At Hugh Hewitt.

UPDATE: CBS News with Romney--SCORE!!!!:
Romney said that McCain has “detoured from what was some straight talk,” as he gleefully read from two quotations in newspaper articles—one from 2005 and another from just last month — in which McCain suggested that his own knowledge of the economy was limited.

“That’s straight talk,” Romney said. “Now he’s engaging in Washington talk. Washington talk says that somehow because you’ve been in Washington and you’ve been on a committee that you somehow — somehow know about how the jobs of this country are created. And I’ll tell you this: somebody who’s been in the real economy, who’s created real jobs, someone who’s been on Main Street knows a lot more about the jobs and the economy of this nation than someone who’s spent his time in K Street and in Washington, D.C.”
UPDATE: How does McCain really do with the base (we already know this) WaPo.

UPDATE: El Rushbo today on McCain's NY Times endorsement: "No Drive-By Media newspaper is going to ever endorse a conservative. It's just that simple, folks."

I listened to Rush today, but I must have missed this part:
CALLER: I wanted to mention to you about when I first saw the New York Times article about Clinton and McCain, my first reaction was that Hillary had a running mate, and I was a little shocked.

RUSH: (laughing)
(See Bill's comment above. And Mitt's ad below)

UPDATE: Ambinder--Romney's raising gobs of money. Yes!

UPDATE: Romney gets endorsement (will be in Sunday paper) of Atlanta Journal Constitution. It starts off this way:

On the campaign trail in Iowa, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee's populist message connected with voters. A frequently-repeated line of his hit home with those unnerved by the subprime crisis and by the global threats to America's manufacturing sector: "I want to be the president who reminds you of the guy you work with, not the guy who laid you off."

But one day's applause lines are the next day's misgivings.

With a stock market turned bearish and with indicators that a global recession may be in the offing, voters shouldn't be drawn any more to the fantasy that the guy on the factory floor, however admirable and virtuous, should be leading the nation in a perilous world.

The qualities needed now in the Oval Office are business knowledge and experience, an understanding of economies and the imperatives of those who manage them around the world, an ability to problem-solve and to assess talent and to assemble the right team to accomplish a mission. What's needed, too, is a strong grounding in principle and steadfastness in the face of pressure and panic, but with the adaptability and flexibility to adjust to changing circumstances.

UPDATE: Rich Lowry on the lost art of campaign ads. (I would just add--the Dems haven't needed to go negative in ads--they have been doing it in their debates, and anyway--they get free media from the MSM)

UPDATE: In case you missed Campaign Carl, who has quite often covered McCain, the supposed front runner :

The timing may be perfect for Romney. His business experience is proving a great asset with the economy dominating much of the contest. He is a tireless, disciplined, smart campaigner. His aides and strategists are top notch. His policies eare fully developed. His rhetoric is tight. His Florida campaign is centered in the triangle between Jacksonville, Orlando, and Tampa where they expect about 57% of the GOP votes to be.

Romney in so many ways has done it the old fashioned way. Any successful candidate in a competitive race for office is going to initially need three things; Message, Money and Organization. Check.
When running for president add; get to Iowa and New Hampshire early and often, have a reasonable claim to your party’s political base in the early states, don’t be the early front-runner, take some risks, survive a few bad patches with a comeback, have dumb luck, then time your peaks for when people are in voting booths. Check, Check, Check, Check.

Mitt could be having a moment.
And this:
Now republicans coast to coast are unleashing on McCain: wrong on the Bush tax cuts, amnesty, campaign finance reform. He collaborates too often, they say, with Ted Kennedy et al. And for years in the senate they say he has been an unreliable republican, largely disliked for angry outbursts and bullying.
Heh.

OK, y'all. Good night. See you in the morning.

HT RedState. Roll tape:)And Ron Paul's question (be sure to watch 'til the end)Bonus--cameo by Miss Teen South Carolina:UPDATE: Another new Romney supporter says why he likes Mitt. Alexham at RedState.
