Cold-Blooded Hillary

Christopher Hitchens reminds us of how cold-bloodedly amoral Hillary and Bill Clinton are, reneging on their commitment and dooming people to death in Bosnia. What price non-intervention? And don't forget Bill and the same Les Aspin, the Wisconsin congressman turned Defense Secretary, are the ones who pushed our Rangers into Somalia without enough support and left them to die and be dragged through the streets. That was Blackhawk Down, the rallying cry for Saddam Hussein and al Qaeda.

P.S. And the National Security Adviser at the time was Anthony Lake, now advising Barack Obama.

They buckled under UN pressure.

UPDATE: One other note, in light of the current conflict and debate. Saddam's Dangerous Friends:

In 1993, as Osama bin Laden's fighters battled Americans in Somalia, Saddam Hussein personally ordered the formation of an Iraqi terrorist group to join the battle there.

For more than two decades, the Iraqi regime trained non-Iraqi jihadists in training camps throughout Iraq.

According to a 1993 internal Iraqi intelligence memo, the regime was supporting a secret Islamic Palestinian organization dedicated to "armed jihad against the Americans and Western interests."
