Illinois: The Dumbster State

Blessed with an abundance of assets--a beautiful big lake, fertile land, navigable rivers, great universities and cultural institutions, the Trib and the Sun Times, the Cubs and the Sox, a tradition of trade, the industrious hub of the heartland-- Illinois should rank high.

The Dems probably didn't intend to push the state into the dumbster, uh dumpster.

True, the Republicans let the state down by Combining forces, but the Dems have compounded the problem with their total rule now, running everything (into the ground) and managing nothing.

Are your "public servants" clueless and out of touch?

Not to mention incompetent?

Corrupt?

Do they say they're only out to get the "rich" while continuing to greedily dig deep into your pockets and raise your taxes? Or go after your property or public lands for private purposes to enrich themselves or augment their political power?

Let's quote Abraham Lincoln, a man who started in life with very little, but made the most of his abilities, and didn't begrudge anyone else theirs:
"Property is the fruit of labor...property is desirable...is a positive good in the world. That some should be rich shows that others may become rich, and hence is just encouragement to industry and enterprise. Let not him who is houseless pull down the house of another; but let him labor diligently and build one for himself, thus by example assuring that his own shall be safe from violence when built."
I remember giving blood not long ago, and I had a conversation with the nurse, who must have been at least in her sixties. She seemed so wan and frail I felt like I should get out of the chair and get her to take a rest. She owned a duplex, free and clear of debt, but was worried she might lose her home because she might not be able to afford the property taxes which kept going up and up.

Do Illinois Dems say they only want to help you while helping themselves to your tax dollars for their cozy insider deals that yield them campaign cash?

Do they even deliver the services they are charging you and arm and a leg for?

Is the state of Illinois becoming one big dumpster? Aging infrastructure, subpar schools, stagnant real estate values coupled with high property taxes?

We are losing population, losing political clout nationally.

Arrest the death spiral.

Give us recall, for a start.

And remember this when you vote in November--when someone says they're an agent of change, ask if they've been part of the problem, have never even lifted a finger when it counted.

Throw out the trash. Haul off the dumpster.

We want clean, streamlined government at a lower cost, with lower taxes. We want transparency and real ethics reform. We want a better education and more school choice for our children. We want a welcome climate for jobs and a brighter future for Illinois.

We want a return to the values of the Land of Lincoln--

Honesty, the pursuit of knowledge, and the freedom to build a life unencumbered by an ignorant and oppressive government.
