Whiner Ayers

UPDATE: Check out the Trib's photos. NRO's Jim Geraghty highlights this one.

Bill Ayers, what a whiner. Just another misunderstood Leftie with a cushy government job at our expense, in the most freedom-loving country in the world that he has done nothing, nothing to deserve in his entire miserable excuse for a life. Tribune:
He doesn't want to feed the flawed "narrative" out in the press and blogosphere — one that has commentators on Ayers' own blog wondering why someone hasn't shot him dead yet.

"It's a cartoon" people are reacting to, Ayers, a professor of education, said at his University of Illinois at Chicago office Wednesday.
Next he'll be asking for Secret Service protection.

A guy with a cartoonish view of the world still at the age of 63 . (Don't you think he would call those who would protect him pigs?) Oh, but he has a "more complex" morality. Right and wrong is too banal when you're talking about bombs, murder is nuanced, he has hope you see:
"I hear the demand for a general apology in the context of the media chorus as a howling mob with an impossibly broad demand, and on top of that I'm not sure what exactly I'm supposed to apologize for," he wrote. "The '68 Convention? The Days of Rage? The Pentagon? Every one of these can be unpacked and found to be a complicated mix of good and bad choices, noble and low motives."

"Some read my failure to apologize as arrogance, stupidity and recalcitrance, or worse," he wrote, "but I think, or I hope, that I'm holding on to a more complex, a truer read and memory of that history."
Oh, yeah, and in an enabling phrase the Tribune describes him as a "school reformer"-- a guy who's ruining kids' minds with his political poison. Maybe if his indulgent CEO dad had sent him to reform school he might not have ended up as a domestic terrorist. Whine all you want. People died. I save my sympathy for them.
