UPDATE: John Kass rightly brings up the Illinois Combine on trial, which includes a few Machine Republicans as well. While I think Rove is a red herring, the Illinois GOP needs to clean itself up and the national guys need to Dump Kjellander as well, which I have often said. I would point out, though, that Dem wrongdoing dwarfs the GOP's. Blago raised a stunning amount of money, much of it with Rezko. And for the brief time we had a GOP Senator, Peter Fitzgerald, he appointed the crusading prosecutor against the mob, from NY, Patrick Fitzgerald (no relation) as US attorney for Northern Illinois. And yes, Peter did buck the Combine to win--he was not their choice, but the choice of the Illinois GOP base--there are still some of us left. Let the chips fall where they may. This may be our chance to get rid of all these slime.
