Nancy Killefer, who failed for a year and a half to pay employment taxes on household help, has withdrawn her candidacy to be the first chief performance officer for the federal government, the White House said Tuesday.Yet another Democrat who thinks they are above the law--who doesn't pay the taxes Democrats tell us it's patriotic to pay. As one pundit noted recently--failure to pay taxes by a Democrat is the equivalent of a sex scandal for a Republican--reeks of hypocrisy. Republicans throw out their miscreants. Will Democrats do the same? But then, they can usually get away with it, given their allies in the MSM. This is becoming a little too obvious for even them to bury, especially since our President made such an issue of being clean as a whistle on lobbyists and ethics--but has almost immediately and repeatedly been undermined by his picks. And why is that?Killefer was the second major Obama administration nominee to withdraw and the third to have tax problems complicate their nomination after President Barack Obama announced their selection.
"Nancy Killefer has decided to withdraw her nomination, and we accepted her withdrawal," Tommy Vietor, a White House spokesman, said Tuesday. The 55-year-old executive with consulting giant McKinsey & Co., was expected to explain her reasons for pulling out later in the day.
Can you say Chicago way? Can you say pay to play? Can you say culture of corruption? Can you say Democrats? Goes with the hothouse White House I guess. An atmosphere of elitism.
Czar Barack. Yes we can.
