Friedman Statement on Iran Missile

From Arie Friedman for Congress, Republican 10th Congressional District:

Arie Friedman Responds to Iran's Missile Launch

Highland Park - Arie Friedman today strongly condemned Iran's test-firing of an upgraded version of its most advanced missile, the Sejil-2, which is capable of striking Israel, Europe, and U.S. military bases in the region. The test-firing was clearly designed to deter the world community from taking decisive action to halt Iran's nuclear ambitions.

"The government of Iran and its Revolutionary Guards Corps continues to maintain an aggressive posture towards the rest of the world community. They seem confident that the current administration and the United Nations do not have the resolve to stop their nuclear weapons program through sanctions," Friedman said.

Regarding the possibility that Israel might launch an attack on Iran, Friedman continued, "Iran has made clear their desire to destroy the Jewish state. If diplomacy fails, then the United States must have the courage to stand with Israel as its very existence is threatened by Iran's nuclear program."
