Many of my Russian professors at Harvard were Ukrainians, whose families surely suffered and died. One of them was Adam Ulam, who wrote a book on Stalin and taught a course called Socialism.

Yes ... darn odd how no one pays attention to this. Even Richard Nixon. later named one of his economic plans the N.E.P. just as Stalin had.
If I ever figure out why people think so poorly of us for our -- comparatively -- minor transgressions while looking to Mao as a hero worthy of his own Christmas ornament and Stalin as a agent of change ... well then I will really have figured out something.
