We've heard these rumors before, and he's tried to distance himself to preserve his credibility as the only grown-up in the White House--even though he's a prize jerk. I wonder whether it's his BP ties that are the real reason he's bowing out. The One may until now anyway get a pass on talking out of both sides of his mouth, but Rahm's colorful vocabulary may be catching up with him. (Just wait until they play the tapes at the Blago trial.) Telegraph: Rahm Emanuel expected to quit White House. Rahm Emanuel, the White House chief of staff, is expected to leave his job later this year after growing tired of the "idealism" of Barack Obama's inner circle. The story is he'll leave after the midterm.
I think he'll go before then if he can land on his feet. Why would he want to stick around and see the (faux-moderate Blue Dog who voted for the auto bailouts, failed stimulus and ObamaCare abomination) House that Rahm Built fall down around his ears?
