Slinky vs. Etch A Sketch

A contest.

I remember Etch a Sketch was prized for back of the car entertainment during those long summer road trips with mom and dad. When I got tired of rereading Nancy Drew books.

The Slinky I associate with high school physics class.

HT The Corner. 50 years? Really?

...but here's no legacy toy story:
Three programs — Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid — consume 100 percent of federal revenue, and everything else is paid for with borrowed money.
Maybe Lincoln Logs would be more instructive.
