Of Illinois.
I have to say I was just sick about the election results for Illinois governor. Seriously? This is the choice? Stick with Quinn, the guy who had all the goodwill of our post-Blago relief and still failed to stanch the bleeding of our bankrupt state? With a Dem majority of both houses?
The Governor Quinn who cut a secret deal right before the election to keep unions fat and happy, buying their support with our children's future, while even now the state stiffs healthcare providers for the elderly, disabled and drug addicted. We are billions in the red and taxes are going up double digits after Christmas.
Collar county women were apparently key in defeating GOP Bill Brady. So let me ask you women.
When your kids get out of school and can't find a job in Illinois why is that. When they can't afford to pay back their student loans why is that.
If you or your spouse lose your job in Illinois what could be the reason.
And if you want to move but can't sell your house what will you do.
If you based your vote on a woman's right to choose--why is that.
Because devout Catholic fiscal conservative Bill Brady can single-handedly overturn Roe v. Wade at the Supreme Court.
Because even if Roe v. Wade were overturned all that means is that the choice of abortion laws would revert to the states. Where it has a snowball's chance in hell of coming up in the legislature.
If you value choice above all what choice are you leaving the next generation? Forced to work harder, taxed higher, facing a lower standard of living than their parents.
It's already started in Greece.
Illinois is already paying higher interest on its risky debt than Mexico.
Can you please think more deeply about choice before the next election?
If it's not already too late for this state.
The collar counties ring the city of Chicago and Cook (Crook) County, which Chicago dominates. Along with downstate votes they can push back against the corruption and profligate spending of the Chicago machine. If they choose to do so.
