UPDATE via Drudge: It was in Baltimore, MD, the most Dem state in the country, by the way. McDonald's statement here. More, from the comments:

Irony, thy name is Eric Holder.

From DOJ website:

National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW) is being observed nationwide April 10-16, 2011. Every year during this week, cities, towns, organizations, and community members come together to honor crime victims and those who serve them. A local celebration with national support, NCVRW is firmly rooted in our nation’s communities. NCVRW is a time for every citizen to focus on raising awareness and promoting victims’ rights.

...The sad thing is McDonald's is an American success story. It's the entry level job ladder up that teaches personal responsibility--but apparently these employees didn't absorb the golden rule at the golden arches--it took an older lady customer to save this person, who looked to be near death.

...This is why crime causes poverty, because what company would want to locate in such an area, with all the risks locally and to their image.

Here's another one:
Dad who broke up fight in MCDONALD'S shot dead...
...Drudge is updating the story. Police investigating.

P.P.S. Much as I hate to give her the time of day, Peggy Noonan on something wrong with the culture, though with too much multiculti apologia. And NRO: Racial Discrimination, Preferences, and Selective Enforcement by the Obama Administration

More. A 14 year old and an 18 year old are being charged. 14. Charges of hate crime may be in the offing. I am not in favor of hate crimes as a charge--do we want the government to get into what is in people's heads? Prosecute the assault. Hate crimes muddy the waters on who is a victim and who isn't. It's PC manipulative.

This assault was brutal and sick, whatever the reason. Prosecute that.

...Thanks for the links, Politicaljunkie Mom, Pundit & Pundette More on the culture here and here.

How relevant.
