Two people were stabbed in a seemingly random attack at a Twin Cities library

No random act of kindness. What could be the reason? The corollary to "unexpectedly" in economic reporting, she "surprised everyone":
But it’s what investigators say she did on Wednesday night that surprised everyone.
“I never thought she would do that. She was very nice,” said Anisa Ahmed, Salim’s neighbor.
Apparently her children were inside the library while she did this. I wonder how old they were--were we taxpayers babysitting by the books? Lovely.

But maybe they will absorb more of our culture than she has.

HT Memeorandum.

P.S. This is interesting:
This idea of the freedom of God had a second profound practical implication. If man was made in God's image -- if he was made to create his own culture over this earth -- then the state must exist to protect every man's God-given freedom. Human freedom is not a ruler's gift to us. Authority is delegated to a ruler in order to defend our God-given liberties.
Islam denies freedom to Muslims because it denies freedom to God. It denies to God the freedom to love us enough to come to this earth to save us. Since Islam does not permit God to come to this earth to establish his kingdom, Muslims have no option but to be ruled exclusively by flawed and corrupt human rulers.
Islam ruled over much of India for almost eight centuries but during that long period it did not produce a single reformer. Neither Islam nor Hinduism cultivated freedom, because human dignity and liberty were not aspects of these worldviews.

Children, even very young children, are often left unattended in libraries for hours. There is no clear policy as to what is to be done about them, so each library staff copes as best they can.

I have seen some of this in my own suburb. I wondered how extreme and widespread it was.

With your comment I think it is worse than I thought.
