What Now? Newtmentum

First, God bless and keep Sen. Mark Kirk, fighting his way to recovery.

I don't know about you, but I was sure hoping that was our President Barack Obama's last SOTU, about the only thing that made it bearable.

Gov. Mitch Daniels Issues Response To Obama's SOTU

Now Newt:
NEWT NOTES....
4,000 PEOPLE IN SARASOTA AND 6,000 IN NAPLES: The headline from the Palm Beach Post: "Gingrich draws thousands in Fla. while Romney's, Santorum's crowds number in hundreds."
A park official called the Naples crowd the biggest he'd ever seen there.
Reuters writes about Deborah Schmidt, a Tea Party member: "She said she felt Gingrich best understood the pain that most Americans are feeling, something the 'Republican establishment' might not understand."
NEW FLORIDA POLL THIS MORNING: The portion of the new Quinnipiac conducted after the South Carolina Primary shows Newt leading in the Sunshine State, 40-34%, over Mitt Romney.
NEWT TAKES THE NATIONAL LEAD, SAYS GALLUP: In their daily update to their rolling average poll, Newt took a 31-27 lead over Mitt Romney on Tuesday.
FUNDRAISING: Since Saturday's victory in South Carolina, Newt 2012 has raised $2.3 million.
"WHY IS MITT ROMNEY TIMID ON TAXES?": After criticizing Romney's timid approach -- only eliminating the capital gains rate for some, for example -- Aaron Goldenberg writes:
"Newt Gingrich is the only candidate that eliminates taxes on investment, makes our corporate tax rate competitive with the rest of the world so large companies will want to relocate to the world's largest market, and flattens and lowers the personal income tax rate for everyone."
