No new leaks of tritium -- a potential carcinogen -- have been found in a study of Exelon Corp.'s six nuclear plants in Illinois, the company said Monday. Exelon launched the $5 million environmental study in February after officials learned of leaks dating back to 1996 at the company's Braidwood, where slightly elevated levels of tritium were detected.Guess Lisa will have to find another corporate victim to abuse to prep for her 2010 run for governor.
Meanwhile, Chicago is suffering sweltering heat, with record power usage. We could use a few more nuclear plants.
