Chicago Move America Forward

The Chicago stop for Move America Forward, gathering support for our troops across the country. We gathered at the Veterans Memorial in Niles in honor of the day, and our troops. People introduced themselves to each other, a woman handed out flags. I saw a few familiar faces, and made some new friends. The bloggers were out in force: Fran Eaton, Illinois Review, Jake of Freedom Folks, John Ruberry's lovely wife, Mrs. Marathon Pundit, and Blackfive.Old Abe was there with a fan.
We made friends with a very nice lady, a Free Republic supporter.
Bringing flags and cards for the troops.
One carries the flag, one has a son just back from Iraq.Sending a card to our soldiers.
Linda LaFianza and some Evanston Republicans.
A member of the Federalist Society meets a Marine veteran who fought at Okinawa, both live nearby.
Republican candidate for Senate Dr. Steve Sauerberg and his wife on the left meet a Chicago supporter.

WGN9 interviews Gold Star mom Debbie Lee, who spoke proudly of her son Marc, a Navy Seal who gave his life to protect our way of life. CBS2 and ABC7 were there as well.
Buzz Patterson spoke of remembrance and resolve.
Diana Nagy sang Where Freedom Flies. We met some of her relatives who came up from Downers Grove.
It was the least we could do to pay tribute to those who serve to keep us free. God Bless our troops. And God Bless America.
