Barack's Aggressive Diplomacy

NY Times with above the fold story "Obama Envisions New Iran Approach":
Senator Barack Obama says he would “engage in aggressive personal diplomacy” with Iran if elected president and would offer economic inducements and a possible promise not to seek “regime change” if Iran stopped meddling in Iraq and cooperated on terrorism and nuclear issues. [snip] But he asserted that Iran’s support for militant groups in Iraq reflected its anxiety over the Bush administration’s policies in the region, including talk of a possible American military strike on Iranian nuclear installations.
Aggressive diplomacy? He's going to sit down without preconditions and give Ahmadinejad the murderer some tough talk:
Making clear that he planned to talk to Iran without preconditions, Mr. Obama emphasized further that “changes in behavior” by Iran could possibly be rewarded with membership in the World Trade Organization, other economic benefits and security guarantees.
Wow, that'll wow 'em for sure. WTO membership. That's what Ahmadinejad was shooting for when he started his career storming our embassy in Tehran back during the Carter administration and taking hostages---WTO membership. Who knew? It's all so clear now. All we needed was Sen. Barack Obama's aggressive diplomacy.

Oh and it's our fault Iran is "anxious" (so that's why they've been funding and arming terrorists for the last 25 years and are building nukes)---sounding more like Osama every day.

UPDATE:
Bahrain Crown Prince--yes Iran is after nuclear weapons: Bahrain's Crown Prince, Sheik Salman bin Isa al-Khalifa, said Friday that Iran is striving to acquire nuclear weaponry, Israel Radio reported.

Al Khalifa said that at the very least, Iran is attempting to gain the ability to produce nuclear weaponry.

The statement would make Bahrain the first Arab nation in the Persian Gulf to claim that Iran is attempting to deceive world leaders in relation to its nuclear aspirations.

UPDATE: And in related news, Senator Obama poses moral questions to 5 year olds.
