Speakers: Dr. Stephen Spontak, MD and Victoria L. Cobbett, RN

This presentation is an introduction to the subjects of both embryonic and “adult” stem cells. After seeing this presentation, you will be able to explain the difference between embryonic and “adult” stem cells, the difference in harvesting techniques of each type of stem cells, and understand the ethical issues surrounding embryonic stem cell research and harvesting. Further, you will be able to comment on the success of both embryonic and “adult” stem cell research therapies.
