Christopher Kelly, a close adviser to Gov. Rod Blagojevich and chief fundraiser on his two campaigns for governor, was indicted today on federal tax fraud charges, accused of understating more than $1.3 million in personal and business income on tax returns for five years, federal authorities said.Of course the governor acts like this has nothing to do with him, it's only the personal troubles of "Individual B" in Operation Board Games, the Fed probe of the governor.

"The Blagojevich administration is either woefully blind to these issues, or they just don't care," said Jay Stewart, executive director of the Better Government Association, a government watchdog group. "Would you want someone on a board who's married to an individual who's been sanctioned by that body? I don't think you have to be a good-government expert to realize that's problematic."
