I credit RezkoWatch and Bill Baar for alerting us to Ayers. They picked up a British press report on Obama where they have a bit more savvy than our press in covering Leftists. Baar found the Obama contribution from Ayers. John Ruberry at Marathon Pundit was also quick to get on top of this, detailing Ayers in Chicago.
And Illinois Review flagged the bizarre Wright beliefs of Obama's church early on.
In fairness, I would say John Kass at the Tribune has been on to Obama for a very long time, featured most recently in this video. But yes, the Tribune did help get rid of Obama's Senate opponents. And David Axelrod is mentioned. Surprise, surprise.
