Barack's War on Women

It's the Obama war on women. No, we're not talking about Hillary-backers immune to the Barackstar's charm--join the crowd, and welcome! We're talking about Obama's tax attack--and not just on "the rich".

Barack Obama would like us to believe he's a new Ronald Reagan (shudder the Left), that he wants to get the government off our backs (really?--how can this be from a Senator with the most liberal voting record, thin as it is?) You may well ask-- his tax plan is built on the backs of working women. Obama's U of C prof buddy and economic adviser Austan Goolsbee co-authors a piece in the WSJ. The NY Sun zeros in on the Big O's infamy--not only hitting well-heeled Hillary supporters in New York, Obama puts women around the country in the kill-zone:
Meanwhile, the most astonishing sentence in the op-ed is this one: "His plan would not raise any taxes on couples making less than $250,000 a year, nor on any single person with income under $200,000." It amounts to a declaration of war on two-income families, a marriage penalty of punitive proportions. If those two single persons with income just under $200,000 get married, Mr. Obama is going to hammer them with a huge tax increase. If the second earner, who in many cases is the woman, is going to have to give 54% of what she earns to the government, she might as well stay home with the children. Mr. Obama may be able to get away with symbolic slights to women, such as not picking Senator Clinton as vice president. But punishing them with confiscatory taxes for participating in the workforce at a high income level moves the slight into the realm of substance.
Obama's war on women.

Scratch all that Democrat lip-service to women's causes, when it comes down to the bottom line their insatiable hunger for more taxes trumps women's economic choices.

And Obama wants us to believe perennial porkbuster John McCain is "fiscally reckless"? Unbelievable.

Obama gave money savvy Maria Bartiromo pause back in March, and he's only gotten worse.

P.S. Hey Michelle, bought any new earrings lately?

P.P.S. Good luck with that:

Obama leads among voters who make less than $40,000 a year or more than $100,000 annually. McCain leads above those in between. Among Investors, McCain leads 50% to 45% while Obama leads among non-Investors 53% to 40% (more demographic data for Premium Members via the Daily Snapshot).

McCain is now viewed favorably by 55% of the nation’s voters, Obama by 54% (see trends).
