Mac is Back

Had decaf last night and cookies rather than drinking some real stuff. Too many cookies.

I woke up too early, then went back to sleep and overslept, so I am a Johnny come lately, but without reading anything this morning, I say John McCain won the debate.

Classing Joe the Plumber with Warren Buffet as "the rich" was Barack Obama's first and biggest mistake, and that will resonate no matter what the pundits say. He had no answer on that one even though he had to know it was coming. John McCain looked in the camera and told Joe no new taxes.

Bill Ayers and ACORN got an airing last night--Barack tried to take cover behind Annenberg as Reagan, education blah, blah, but McCain zinged him back--and then you funded ACORN with the Annenberg money. Barack smirked, he blushed, he gave his canned talking points--but he had no credible response.

McCain knocked him on not traveling south of the border and on leaving a billion dollars on the table for American exports and jobs by opposing the Colombia Free Trade Agreement. When Obama tried to suggest our ally Colombia had a suspect human rights record (very old news) McCain asked why then was Obama willing to meet their narco-terrorist supporter and dictator neighbor Hugo Chavez in Venezuela without preconditions. Obama smirked again.

And McCain even managed to cap the exchange on trade and taxes by tagging Obama as Herbert Hoover.

Mac is back. Now to get me some real coffee this morning.

P.S. And how could I forget, Barack Obama once again totally lied about his let that newborn die vote in Illinois.
