Illinois, Illinois

I wrote Illinois the Dumbster State almost two years ago and the same pretty much holds true today--only it's worse.

We're closing on a $5.1 billion backlog of unpaid state bills and a budget deficit more than double that. What next? Well, look to California, the liberal paradise, the failed state.

We have a beautiful state too. But the Dems are killing it off.

P.S. Early voting starts today. And check out the Illinois Policy Institute's Spotlight on Spending. Another key fiscal killer that desperately needs to be addressed: Pension Reform Opportunity in Illinois. Antiquated public employee pension laws are crippling Illinois cities and villages. Learn about the problem, and how you can be part of the solution.

More. And don't forget to Love New Trier Vote NO, to the largest single-school referendum in Illinois history. At the end of the ballot, past the judges.
