No more magazine covers for Barack?

Picking up from my postscript yesterday, no more tiki-tacky fruity drinks on the campaign trail?

Will Barack give it up?

Will he exchange one fantasy island for another? It's island-hopping with Barack.

Will he ever have the guts to go home again to Chicago, with the black community hitting unemployment highs, his well-heeled backers down at the heels, Rahm (actually being a bit like Republican Gov. Walker next door) running out of other people's money,  and the state of Illinois broke?

P.S. Noonan notices her 2008 dream man is dispirited.

...Pethokoukis: The White House’s worst-case scenario for the economy on Election Day next year has become Wall Street’s baseline scenario.

P.P.S. My suggestion for a magazine cover:

"I think it's a little too early yet for the president to be attacked by a rabbit," cautioned a veteran Chicago Democrat wise in the ways of Obama. "But it's close. Real close."
