Hello, Illinois! Plus Vetting Barack Ayers

Primary day, first day of spring

We've had some heat here and the trees are budding out. Romney's been stomping in Obama's back yard, Santorum ranging around the state, stopping by Ronald Reagan's hometown. Tribune here.

Romney sought to make hay of a Santorum remark, but illustrated once again even when he tries not to be tone deaf--he's tone deaf. RNC chairman Reince Priebus, who's from neighboring state Wisconsin, where they went narrowly red to take on the public sector unions and get their deficit down, weighed in--Rick's right: Republican House Budget Chairman Paul Ryan unveils his Path to Prosperity: The GOP Budget and America's Future The president's budget gives more power to bureaucrats, takes more from taxpayers to fuel the expansion of government, and commits our nation to a future of debt and decline.
