A tax on the 1st amendment, and the 2nd

It was a provocative header not all that long ago, but it has now come to pass with the HHS ObamaCare mandate assaulting religious liberty--a tax on the 1st amendment. People and institutions of conscience are treated as 2nd class citizens. The very concept of enforceable contracts is in jeopardy.

I used the phrase to illustrate Chicago's unjust treatment of citizens who adhere to the constitutional rights outlined in the 2nd amendment to our founding document.

Now we have a further tax on the 2nd, initiated by Mayor Rahmbo, passed by an Illinois House committee.

Freedom is on the line.

These Dems thumb their noses at the rule of law. They're thugs in better suits.
