Some pushback from the citizenry:
What next, extraordinary measures during the NATO/G8, oh wait. How bout let's test the 3rd and 4th. Cuz it's all for a good cause. And we get to pay for it.big.dewey at 7:26 AM February 10, 2012 hey happy: it's already there. It's called ATF form 4473. All the info law enforcement requires to trace gun sales. Been around for years. Buy a gun in illinois and you've got to fill out a 4473 and get approval from the Illinois State Police, all this after you passed muster on a background check and received your FOID card. All this info is traceable and available to law enforcement investigators.
Rahm's idea is nothing less than pandering to a narrow-minded group of uninformed liberal voters, and hopes passage of a registration fee will take some of the sting out of the $400,000 worth of taxpayer money he had to give to the Second Amendment foundation for legal fees in the McDonald v chicago Supreme Court case, which Richee daley lost.
We're talking freedom here. You might care about that more, Rahm, when you want to take the 5th on Solyndra.
And then there's Fast & Furious Mr. President and Mr. Mayor. Gee, where could some of those guns have come from.
