Joe the Plumber, in Sderot

Via Powerline, starts out this way:

The Jerusalem Post reports that Joe the Plumber has arrived in Israel. By noon today he had made it to Sderot. By my estimation, he has gotten a better handle on the situation than his supposed betters in the media:

"You should be ashamed of yourself," he told foreign reporters.

What a good guy.

UPDATE: In Chicago, "Members of Jewish community protest hate crimes":
Jewish leaders gathered with their congregations Sunday in protest, a day after four Jewish institutions are attacked.

The FBI's joint terrorism task force is assisting police in their investigations.[snip]

Sunday's rally brought about several families carrying Israeli flags.

"There are so many Israeli flags being burned right now and American flags being burned; I think it's great that we can do this peacefully while saying what we believe," said rally attendee Josh Kirshenbaum.

"When we got here Saturday and saw what happened, you just can't believe it's happening in your own backyard," said Roz Gillman, who also attended the rally.

And Hamas?
They build tunnels, but they do not build bomb shelters. They do not, apparently, suspend classes in schools in the midst of bombardments. And Hamas, with the tolerance if not approval of most Gazans, uses schoolyards as launching zones for rockets and mortars. Think about it: is there anything about a schoolyard that makes it a particularly desirable place from which to fire ordnance? No. Hamas uses schools (and mosques, and residential areas generally) in this way in the hope that civilians, especially children, will be killed.
