Tribune Endorses Sauerberg

The Tribune endorses Steve Sauerberg for Senate, in the GOP primary:
Sauerberg says "people are very much overwhelmed. They're overwhelmed with the tax system, with worries over health insurance. The tax system has to be simpler and fairer. Spending must be reduced. Average Americans are afraid they'll lose their jobs and lose their health insurance. Health needs to be reformed by someone in the health-care field."

Sauerberg is an intelligent man and he will present a conservative alternative to Durbin this fall. He is endorsed in the GOP primary.
Support Steve Sauerberg. As Sauerberg points out, Dick Durbin is the most liberal member of the US Senate, bar none. The Northwest Herald:
The candidate said incumbent U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin had lost touch with Illinois residents.

“You can’t tell me this is the most liberal state in the United States of America, but that is our voting record in the Senate,” he said. “We need to return the government to the people.”

Sauerberg criticized Durbin’s support of immigration-reform measures such as the Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act, which would allow states to give in-state tuition to undocumented students who grew up in the United States. He said the reforms were not representative of the state or the United States.
Dick Durbin is out of touch with Illinois values and spends too much time with the liberal nutroots, even disparaging General David Petraeus, who has led our troops toward victory in Iraq to protect us at home. On the economy, Sauerberg offers fresh ideas. The Daily Herald:
Willowbrook physician Steve Sauerberg said he favors tax cuts for individuals, families and businesses [snip]

Sauerberg said he'd end congressional "earmark" project spending in the federal budget, blaming the process for adding billions worth of unnecessary spending.

"I firmly believe that members of Congress should not have the authority to direct federal spending to specific projects without significant scrutiny," Sauerberg said.

As a physician, Sauerberg also understands the costs imposed by Democrat trial lawyers, who raise health care costs for all of us and drive needed doctors out of state, leaving people at risk.

This includes many women OB/GYN practitioners, some who practice part time so they can care for their families, and are being forced to stop delivering babies because of the cost. Others are surgeons or specialists who are in short supply in vast areas of the state.

Let's unite for new leadership for Illinois in the US Senate, for a Senator we can be proud of, Steve Sauerberg. Enough of Durbin's tired and dishonest talk. Dishonorable. Useless. Deceptive. Dick Durbin:
