Summer in the Second City

"Clean Machine" revs up in Chicago. Obama moves his HQ here. Ben Smith, The Politico:
...the Obama campaign can use DNC salaries and staff to pay for elements of its organizing campaign and avoid some of the duplication that has often dogged presidential efforts.
Rush suggested Obama can avoid duplication and avail himself of Tony Rezko's services for real estate help as he did with the Obama manse. Oh, he's in jail.

I guess Barack will have more time to chit-chat with the heartland and his upscale allies. Maybe he can get Bill Ayers to do another fundraiser. And burn baby burn Durbin can jet back from The Hill to run interference for Michelle--after all she's quite the shrinking violet.

He can go jogging with Governor Tumor.

Do you think the Rev. Wright, who has unretired, and Father Pfleger, who's being reinstated, will keep their mouths shut given all the media attention available in this town?

And Tony Rezko's whining!!!

Hot town, summer in the Second City. Let's recycle this song from the '60's (a one-hit wonder) very apropos for Mr. Flower Power:

UPDATE: And if you want to really know what's going on in Chicago, every day, check out the Chicago Daily Observer.
