Listen to this exchange with Rep. Mark Kirk, Illinois GOP Senate candidate:
"Channel 2 has made the decision we're really not going to cover the [Illinois] Senate race if it consistently only, on your terms, is about Broadway Bank.
"Alexi's been pilloried."
Alexi's problems are of his own making.
...The real question is why he is running at all? (Um, gee why did fellow Dem David Hoffman make an issue of it in the primary? Too bad the videos are down.) Ask yourselves that, WBBM? The answer is a corrupt Dem political establishment--as corrupt as you are, apparently.
More. CBS2 WBBM response/coverage. You know I get the same media releases you guys do. And maybe you guys should ask these questions so Kirk's people don'thave to. Or talk radio. Or bloggers. (Gee, not only do you not do your job as an objective reporter, you do Alexi's job for him as his PR) I'd say the Rockford agenda was pretty positive. As positive as a story can be on our bankrupt Dem-run state. 1. The Small Business Bill of Rights
2. Expand Chicago-Rockford International Airport
3. Boost Rockford Rail Access
4. Revitalize Downtown Rockford
5. Encourage Home Ownership
6. Educate the Workforce
7. Increase Export Markets for U.S. Goods
8. Combat Gangs
I'd say the concern about the corruption tax was substantive. I see NBC5 covered that. Earlier, the small business bill of rights. Also in his record over the last year of the Obama administration he has been a consistent budget hawk.

I heard this story this morning and I was so frustrated that I was speechless! I'm so glad you blogged on this, because people need to know how the media views itself. I couldn't help but wonder if certain reporters were getting paid for suppressing stories. I hate to be cynical, but in this town, nothing is too corrupt.
