And it wasn't even a gaffe this time: Biden: Tea partiers like 'terrorists

Piling on. It was intentional:
Biden, driven by his Democratic allies’ misgivings about the debt-limit deal, responded: “They have acted like terrorists,” according to several sources in the room.
Biden’s office declined to comment about what the vice president said inside the closed-door session.
Earlier in the day, Biden told Senate Democrats that Republican leaders have “guns to their heads” in trying to negotiate deals.
So there you have it--our duly elected representatives opposed to ruinous debt in this country are termed terrorists by Dems and the Obama administration.

Dems are all ad hominem all the time. All they have are personal attacks and demonization.

We TEA partiers started out protesting the mortgage bailout and union-bailout stimulus program--clearly  failures. We were called "shameful and despicable" by a Dem Congresswoman: So Jan Schakowsky thinks SEALS are criminals but defends accessories to terror... the same Jan Schakowsky who the other day accused us of fragging the American people.

We went to townhall meetings in the summer of 2009 to stop the power grab of ObamaCare, and were called teabaggers and Nazis. Even our grannies and moms are called angry.

In the spring of 2010 the TEA Party went to DC to peacefully petition their leaders to not pass ObamaCare--they were called racists based on trumped up falsehoods. Racists. Nazis.

Worse was to come.

Even as Joe Biden is on the Hill trying to get a bipartisan deal he demonstrates the classic (not new) tone of the left.

I guess he is trolling for Dem votes. Make my day.

Most interesting to read this account of Biden's remarks. As I was traveling with the radio on, NPR played a snippet of Henry Waxman (D-California) using precisely the same language as Biden.

Perhaps it is not so much Biden's opinion as a new set of talking points distributed to repeat often.

Yes, I think you're right.

After all, Joe Biden is not exactly an original thinker.

...And he is a known plagiarist

It's good to keep reminding everyone of the ridiculously overheated and reactionary rhetoric the Dems have piling on to any opposition since Obama's election. I think the internet tends to shorten people's memory since there seems to be crisis (real or otherwise) every two weeks or so...

There's been so much of that condescending/demonizing talk from the Dems, that it's almost not news to people anymore. But we shouldn't forget what they said, the manner in which they said it, and why they are demonizing opposition to their ideological aims.

It doesn't take much for them to fly off the handle these days

And it seems clear these are talking points, as the Dem media pundits are using the same kind of language

What will they call us next.

Gee, I think they're running out of ideas.
